It has been another busy year. I have experienced a host of new opportunities that I never dreamed could possibly happen. It has truely been a great year with many successes. However, during this time I also had to experience disappointments, frustrations, and doubts. Many days I felt life was getting the best of me. Fortunately, I always made it home and lived to fight another day.
I have learned that the reason for many of our struggles are because we are not totally committed to what we feel we should be doing with the skills and talents that we have been given for a specific reason. We often cling to something, afraid to let go, fearing we would have no recourse if we failed. Because we hold on to our security blanket, we aren't fully committed and are unable to apply full energy to what we feel we should be doing.
The higher we strive, the more committed we must be in order to be successful. If we are aiming for lower goals, it doesn't take much to attain them. However, those higher goals require more of our energy along with total commitment. Our faith and spirit must be unshakable. The spirit that is guiding us, must burn in our soul to the point that we feel unstoppable.
Everyone talks about confidence as being the key, but I've learned that confidence is the child of faith. Our faith does not guarantee one hundred percent success, but it does erase our fear of failure, which places us in a powerful position.
Nothing is as easy as it seems, but we realize this once we are committed to the task at hand. If we are reaching for the top and banging our head against the wall, ask the person in the mirror if we are fully committed. If we are, then the sky is the limit.
I'm not there yet, but will continue striving to reach my full potential .
