Reggie started his progression in music at an early age. Raised on r&b and rock & roll, he turned to jazz during high school and played in local bands. He received a music scholarship to Florida A&M University where he earned his degree in instrumental music education.

While working on an advanced degree in jazz studies at Hampton University, Reggie developed an instrumental music program proposal for the Dutch Governmental schools. This proposal was accepted and he worked a few years teaching music in the Netherlands Antilles; on the islands of St.Maarten and St. Eustatuis. During this time he performed regularly with local bands.

Reggie then began teaching instrumental music for the Newport News Public Schools in Virginia. He taught in this system for 20 years. During this time he developed several band programs at the middle and high school levels. He served as Director of Bands at Heritage High School; a school for mass communication, engineering and technology. His symphonic, marching, and jazz bands consistently earned excellent and superior ratings at competitions and festivals. Reggie turned his emphasis from teaching music to radio broadcasting, audio studio recording, and TV production at Heritage High School where he developed a media program. Also, during this time he performed nightly at the Williamsburg Music Theatre. This show featured the leading musical and show talents in the area in a 2 hour nightly show that included a big band, comedians, dancers, and singers. Reggie played lead tenor sax, flute, and clarinet.

Reggie then moved to Caracas, Venezuela; where he worked as “Director de Produccion” for TBN Enlace Venezuela Television. He also worked as an independent music, radio, and television producer during this time. He developed numerous Spanish radio and television programs that were aired in Costa Rica, Mexico, and Venezuela. Reggie also performed regularly with the leading musicians and talents of South America during this time. After accepting a position at the International School of Queretaro, he moved to Queretaro, Mexico where he continued his teaching, performing and independent productions.

Currently, Reggie is living in Silver Spring, Maryland where he works as a director/producer for ITI/HUD in the broadcasting branch, and at the Discovery Channel International as an Avid editor. He also works as a freelance editor and producer in the Washington D.C. metro area.

Reggie holds a B.S. in Music Education, M.A. in Multimedia and Film Production, and a Certified Avid Media Composer Editor. As part of SMR, he performs regularly at international concerts and conducts seminars and workshops on audio and television production, video production, and worship musicianship. This has repeatedly taken him to Mexico, Indonesia, Bali, Belize, Cuba, Costa Rica, Jakarta, Java, Lumbok, Singapore, Sumatra, Suriname, Venezuela and Africa. In 2008, Reggie will be focusing his travels to Africa, Belize, Cuba, Mexico, and Venezuela.
